[July 12, 2024] Digital IP entertainment company IPX (formerly LINE FRIENDS) opened a “(Female) Children's Clock Pop-Up (G) I-DLE KLAXON POP-UP)” at LINE FRIENDS STORE Gangnam on the 12th to celebrate the release of the 7th mini album of “(Female) Kids” who have returned as Summer Queen. This pop-up was IPX's second encounter following the popular “(Female) Kids Super Lady Pop-Up” in February of this year, and the release of a new IP created with (female) children, and was a hot topic even before it opened.
This pop-up, which will run until the 21st, was decorated with the theme of “I SWAY,” a new mini-album by (female) children, and decorated in a space with a Y2K sensibility. In particular, what caught my eye in this pop-up was the (female) children's character “(female) children Minini ((g) i-dle minini),” which was created as an IPX creative with the diverse charms of the members. “(Female) Kids Minnie,” composed of yeonini (yeonini), minnini (sonini), woonini (sonini), woonini (woonini), and shunini (shunini), symbolizes the members' infinite dreams and hopes, and is characterized by the diverse personalities of each member revealed in their facial expressions, personalities, and appearance.
The main photo zone of this pop-up, where the façade of the members showing off Girl Crush catches the eye, is decorated with an exotic “gas station” concept under the intense sun, as in the background of the music video for the (female) children's title song “Klaxon (Klaxon).” The photo zone, which added the members' kitsch and charismatic visuals to the vintage mood, was crowded with many fans who wanted to take certified shots. At the same time, “(Female) Kids Minnie” products, such as plush, cushions, official cheering stick Ver. 2 cape, and key rings, are arousing fans' desire to own their unique cuteness.
Fans who visited the pop-up showed responses such as “It's a pop-up store with a Y2K sensibility for (female) kids,” “100% sync with Minnie's characters and members,” “My favorite girl, Sonny's plush and key ring are my love,” and “I'm going to cheer for a movie with a Minnini cheering cape.”
The (female) children, who celebrated the 6th anniversary of their debut since their debut in 2018, continue their unstoppable journey, with the 7th mini album “I SWAY,” which was released on the 8th, reaching number 1 on the worldwide iTunes album charts, European iTunes album charts, and the iTunes top album charts in 18 countries and regions around the world, including Japan, Thailand, and Brazil.
Meanwhile, the “(Female) Children's Clock Pop-Up” will open in Shanghai, Tokyo, and Shibuya in the future to meet global fans. Following BT21 and TRUZ, IPX recently developed an enterprise IP business with popular K-pop artists from home and abroad, such as New Jeans, Ive, and Zero Bass One, and has been well received by fans around the world.
