[July 19, 2024] Digital IP entertainment company IPX (formerly LINE FRIENDS) announced the start of the domestic officially licensed business for “Pickles the Frog” IP, a character with a long life in Japan for 30 years and is popular among domestic Z generation and celebrities, and then exclusively opened the first “Pickles the Frog (Pickles the Frog) Popup (Pickles the Frog) Popup” in Korea on the 19th.
“Pickles the Frog Popup” will run until August 1 at LINE FRIENDS Square Seongsu, and various Pickles products such as face cushions, pouches, mini fans, and umbrellas have been launched. Among them, the popular plush and plush key rings were sunlaunched in this pop-up, which raised great expectations. Also, at the pop-up, you can meet the manager of the No. 1 Pickles pop-up store in Korea, and the name of the store manager was selected as a “hangguri” created by fans themselves with the meaning of “happy frog” through a naming contest on Instagram before the pop-up opened, bringing special memories to fans.
This pop-up captured the happy travel stories of friends such as Pickles, Pierre (cat), and Snail Kun, visiting famous places and restaurants in Korea, and the exterior was wrapped in various colors, reflecting the characteristics of Pickles, which looked different depending on the mood of the day, and caught the eye. When entering the pop-up, visitors were greeted by a large Pickles statue where they could sit on a bench and take pictures with a rainy day in the background, and the photo zone, which was decorated with a plush concept for their own pickles, was crowded with fans who had been waiting for the pop-up since the first day of opening. Pickles pop-up store manager Seongsu's private work space was also set up separately, adding cute attractions.
